Inter will hope that striker Edin Dzeko can play a decisive role in their upcoming Champions League clash with Liverpool.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who note that the Bosnian has already scored against the Reds in the Champions League knockout stages, in both legs of their semi-final clash with Roma in 2018.

Dzeko’s equalizing goal against Napoli yesterday evening highlighted once again the decisive goalscoring contributions that he is capable of, having also recently scored key goals against Venezia and Roma.

Against Liverpool, nothing short of his best possible contribution will be needed, and the striker could well have precedent for it.

Even though the Bosnian has not been the most prolific for the Nerazzurri since his arrival from Roma, he has not only had a decent return but also shown that he can score on the biggest occasions, and the clash with Liverpool could be his biggest test yet.
