Inter’s 22 points from matches in which they’ve gone behind this is the joint-most taken by any teams in all of Europe’s top five leagues this season along with Paris Saint-Germain and Hoffenheim.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who suggest that this Nerazzurri team have shown the “Pazza Inter” dimension of winning despite not making things easy for themselves.

Yesterday’s 4-2 win over Empoli was a wild swing of emotion for Inter, who had to pull themselves back up from what looked like a desperate situation after the Tuscans ruthlessly punished some indecisive defending to go 2-0 up.

By the end of the first half, however, the Nerazzurri had brought things back to level terms and then in the second half they made an emphatic attacking performance count to win 4-2.

This is far from the first time the Nerazzurri have rescued a result from a losing position, and as the Gazzetta point out only two other teams have taken 22 points from comebacks this season in Europe.
