Inter will make a big name sale next summer rather than this summer in the event that talks with Paris Saint-Germain for the sale of Milan Skriniar fall through.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno, who report that the Nerazzurri will not sell a big name player other than Skriniar if the 27-year-old doesn’t go through, and that the deadline for a sale would be the end of June 2023.

Inter have been widely expected to make a big money sale this summer in order to meet financial targets, and for the past few weeks it has been Skriniar who has looked to be the likeliest candidate for such a sale with PSG very keen on him.

However, things are far from wrapped up as far as a sale of the Slovakian, and should talks break down and the Parisians withdraw their interest, Inter will not put another big name player up for sale this summer.

Instead, the big sale will be postponed until the end of next June, which would be the real deadline to get a deal done.
