A very disappointed Walter Mazzarri was interviewed by Sky after he saw his Inter lose a lead (again), this time in the end against Sampdoria.

“Now I’ll say the truth: today we played a horrible match.  We have lowered our performance way too much, we haven’t played well lately, not at home or away.  Today we were to defensive. Alvarez was affected by the yellow card he received in the beginning of the match, but we were all to near our own goal and Sampdoria deserved the goal. Unfortunately it did’t end well, but in the first half, we had several chances to close the match, and once again we must be more cynical in front of the goal. We must get more out of certain situations, instead we were to easy to read and I didn’t like the low intensity we had on the pitch. They were better than us, they stole the ball from us, and they were better than us, maybe we should have been able to get three points, but we dominated against Bologna and Cagliari and there we only got a draw, today we played poorly and got a point, but we should still win these kind of games. But I repeat, I did not like the football we played. ”

“We’re a team and we continue to improve, but we have to be more attentive. A few players here need to understand that they must always do their best if they want to stay here at Inter and lead us up to the top again.”

Inter’s coach continued with his criticism:

“In other matches we play our football for 70 minutes. Today, however, we were not consistent. We were distracted, I saw a weaker concentration today than what I usually see, but I hope it was just a coincidence.”

How was it to see Thohir in place for his first match at the San Siro?

“It was good,  It was also beautiful to see Thohir together with Moratti. This is the best solution for Inter to grow stronger, but I’m sorry I couldn’t give him a victory. To do well in major championships you must have a great organization and that’s something we have already, then you must also make investments. “
