Inter will take Milan Skriniar off the market in the event that they cannot land Torino defender Bremer.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Nerazzurri’s plan is to offer the 27-year-old a contract extension worth €5 million net per season to tie him down in the event that they miss out on the Brazilian.

Paris Saint-Germain have yet to return with an offer that is higher than the €53 million plus €7 million in add-ons which Inter rejected, and it remains to be seen if they will do so.

Even if the French champions do push to sign the Slovakian with another bid, the situation at Inter may have changed, as they have long expected to be able to sign Bremer.

The Brazilian was seen as a suitable signing to reinforce the backline in the event that Skriniar were to be sold, whilst alternatives such as Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic and Atalanta’s Merih Demiral have not convinced them as like-for-like replacements for the Slovakian.

Accordingly, in the event that the Nerazzurri lose out on the signing of Bremer to Juventus, they will take Skriniar off the market and offer him a new deal, worth €5 million net per season, compared to the €8 million net per season offered by PSG.
