Paris Saint-Germain are getting close to dropping out of the race to sign Inter defender Milan Skriniar as they do not want to meet the asking price for him.

This according to French news outlet L’Equipe, who report that PSG Sporting Director Luis Campos sees the €60-70 million asking price for the 27-year-old as too high and that the Parisians are likely to move on to other targets to reinforce their defense.

The French champions have been pursuing Skriniar for over the month with the Slovakian having been marked out as their top defensive target, but their latest improved offer came in a couple weeks ago.

In the meantime, Campos has begun to think about the valuation that the Nerazzurri have slapped on Skriniar to be high, and he now has two other major defensive targets, as yet unnamed.

In any event, the Parisians are still hoping to offload defenders Thilo Kehrer and Abdou Diallo this summer as neither have a place in their plans for next season.
