There is optimism that the likes of Robin Gosens and Roberto Gagliardini will be back in action for Inter’s friendly match against Lyon this weekend, whilst Milan Skriniar is still a doubt.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that both Gosens and Gagliardini are close to being ready to return to training, whilst the club are taking their time with Skriniar.

Gosens was out of last Saturday’s friendly against Lens with a muscle injury, while Gagliardini missed out with a foot problem, but neither injury is thought to be serious and they could already be ready for this Saturday’s match against Lyon.

Meanwhile, Skriniar has missed out on Inter’s friendlies so far as he has been putting a muscle problem sustained while in international duty with Slovakia last month behind him.

While he is close to being ready he will not be rushed back as the club want to get the balance right to have him in peak condition for the start of the season.
