The new contract that Inter are plotting for Milan Skriniar will need to make him a top earner within the team if he is to accept it, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Slovakian defender seems very open to staying at the club and signing a new deal but the figures will need to be updated.

Before the transfer saga with Paris Saint Germain even began, talks were ongoing for a new deal. They will not be starting from scratch, but the fact that PSG offered him up to €9 million including bonuses per season means that the figures must be addressed.

He is one of the best players in the squad and Marcelo Broaozvic and Lautaro Martinez earn €6 million per season with bonuses. Inter cannot move too far from that figure when it comes to Milan Skriniar.
