Two days ahead of the game against AC Milan, Walter Mazzarri was inevitably asked about how he feels going into his first derby: “It’s my first one, obviously there’s always that passion, the adrenaline that comes with new experiences. I’m also curious to see what I’ll feel out there. The Genoa derby is also very big but, as I’ve said, I’ll only know when I make my way out of the tunnel. As ever all I’m focused on is the game, what I have to say to the lads about tactics, technique, the psychological side and on that front I’ll prepare as I always do, but obviously I’m only human and when you’re there and you see that atmosphere it will obviously be very special.”
