Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini believes that his former player Robin Gosens is playing well and with continuity at Inter.

La Dea coach Gian Piero Gasperini doesn’t want Inter player Robin Gosens to return to the Bergamo-based club.

“Do I want [Robin Gosens] to return? No, he is playing well with Inter and with continuity.

“We are hoping that he can have satisfaction that he has not been able to get in the last 8 months,” said the Atalanta coach in the official post match press conference as reported  via FCInterNews.

Gian Piero Gasperini was the coach at Inter to start the 2011-2012 Serie A season before he was sacked after 5 winless games.

His final game was a 3-1 home loss at the San Siro against then-newly promoted Novara in September 2011.

Gasperini had multiple stints at Palermo over the 2012-2013 period before returning to Genoa in 2013 and stayed with the Grifone until 2016 before joining Atalanta.

Robin Gosens played with Atalanta from 2017-2022, under Gian Piero Gasperini before joining the Nerazzurri on loan in January 2022. The moved was made permanent in the summer of 2022.

The Inter defender has made 9 appearances in Serie A so far this season. The German international has also made appearances in all four game of the Nerazzurri’s group stage in the UEFA Champions League.
