Inter must make one final effort to get an agreement on a contract extension with defender Milan Skriniar over the line.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri will likely have to go a little higher in their offer before the 27-year-old and his representatives are ready to wrap up negotiations.

Inter are expected to hold another meeting with Skriniar and his representatives this week, which could be the decisive one for securing an agreement on a new contract.

The Nerazzurri’s current offer to the Slovakian stands at around €6 million net per season plus add-ons.

Meanwhile, the player and his representatives have still been holding out for around €7 million net per season on a new deal.

Accordingly, the parties must still reach a little closer together, with Inter potentially improving their offer of add-ons in order to find a figure that everyone is happy with.
