Inter want the response of defender Milan Skriniar to their contract extension by January 20.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are expecting either a yes or a no from the 27-year-old by that date, and have made this clear to the player.

Skriniar has had Inter’s contract extension offer in hand for some time without having given his response.

However, the Nerazzurri do not want the situation to drag on for much longer, as they are aiming to begin strategizing for the future and also to move on to other contract situations at the club.

Accordingly, Sky reports, Inter want to have Skriniar’s yes or no by January 20.

Contract extension negotiations will be the focus of January for the Nerazzurri rather than looking for new signings.

Accordingly, the club want to make sure that talks with Skriniar in particular get wrapped up in a timely manner one way or another, as they constitute the most important set of negotiations currently.
