Inter want a response from defender Milan Skriniar to their contract extension offer by the end of the weekend.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri have set a deadline for the weekend, and that the 27-year-old could well deliver his answer by tomorrow.

Despite only winning the Supercoppa Italiana yesterday, Inter are already turning their attention to important matters off of the pitch.

Chief among these is the contract situation of Skriniar, who has still not given his response to the club’s offer which has now stood for over two months.

According to the Gazzetta, the club want to former Sampdoria defender’s answer by the end of the weekend.

The newspaper reports that the Nerazzurri would not consider a January sale to be completely off the table for Skriniar in the event that the right offer comes along and he confirms that he does not intend to extend his contract.
