Inter have stepped up negotiations to secure a new primary shirt sponsor and have six or seven options available to them, according to Italian journalist Gian Luca Rossi.

The Nerazzurri are in the market for a replacement for DigitalBits to adorn the front of their kit, and recent reports have linked them with an agreement with a brand based in the United Arab Emirates.

Appearing as a guest on Italian television programme Top Calcio 24, and as reported by FCInter1908.it, Rossi revealed that he had been in contact with Inter CEO Alessandro Antonello and that suggestions of a deal with the UAE brand were wide of the mark.

“From what I understood from my conversations with the CEO Alessandro Antonello, it’s not true that the Arab sponsor already exists,” Rossi claimed.

“They tell me that there are many contacts: they’ve found six or seven, now it’s a question of putting the Inter shirt up for auction.”

Meanwhile, the journalist also shed light on the structure of a deal and how long a new partner would be on the front of Inter’s kit.

“Whoever offers the most will sign for five years. But in the meantime they have parried the blow with LeoVegas and eBay.”

Inter ended a 26-year association with tyre manufacturers Pirelli in 2021 to sign a partnership with DigitalBits, but this is set to come to end at the conclusion of the current season.
