Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi lauds his players following the 6-0 pummeling of Hellas Verona on Wednesday night, and offers injury updates on Milan Skriniar and Robin Gosens.

The Nerazzurri were majestic at the Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium, dismantling their hapless hosts in brutal fashion.

This was their third league win in a row following their exploits against Empoli and Lazio. The Beneamata solidified their 4th spot in the Serie A standings, taking advantage of the draws of AC Milan against Cremonese and AS Roma in Monza.

After Wednesday’s win, Inzaghi insisted that he kept his cool during Inter’s earlier skid as he knew that he had a group of top professionals at his disposal.

“Clearly the commitment was never lacking, even when the results didn’t arrive,” said the former Lazio player and manager in his post-match interview with Inter TV via FcInterNews.

“I was calm because I train a serious and professional group who were determined to do better in the league.

“The cups, on the other hand, have been giving us great satisfaction for twenty months. We know we’re late but we have five more games to try and improve our position.”

The 47-year-old also offered some injury updates on two of his stars. He reveals aside from Milan Skriniar, Robin Gosens remain the solitary concern at this stage.

“The recovery of all the players has been crucial. We have had the unexpected situation with Skriniar, so my only concern is Gosens because he is very important to us.

“I hope he can come back soon, I saw him in recent days and he’s putting in a crazy effort to come back as soon as possible.”

The German fullback hurt himself instantly after scoring the goal that gave Inter the lead over Lazio last Sunday, as he landed awkwardly on the pitch.
