Inter Milan and Udinese are planning to hold the decisive talks on a transfer of midfielder Lazar Samardzic on Wednesday.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri and the Friulani are almost over the line in their efforts to finish up a transfer of the 21-year-old Serbian international for €15 million plus Giovanni Fabbian.

In the past couple of days, Inter have gotten to within touching distance of signing Samardzic.

The Nerazzurri and the Friulani have more or less agreed on the terms of a deal for the former RB Leipzig midfielder.

All of that has been, more or less, fully worked out between the clubs already.

Moreover, Samardzic is also reportedly ready to make the move to Inter on a five-year deal. And Fabbian’s agent has made clear that he is not turning down the move the other way.

The deal is not yet complete. But it’s getting very close, and the clubs have a plan to wrap it up.

The Nerazzurri have agreed terms on a deal for Samardzic.

The former RB Leipzig man will make the switch for a fee of around 15 million, plus Giovanni Fabbian going the other way.

As of yet, there are a few minor details remaining for the clubs to wrap up.

But at this stage, only one more meeting will be necessary to do so.

And according to Sky, Wednesday will be the day for that meeting.

Then, Samardzic can complete the formalities on the move, sign his contract, and join up with his new Nerazzurri teammates as they return from their preseason tour of Japan.

Inter have won the race ahead of Lazio, AC Milan, Juventus, and Napoli to sign the former RB Leipzig midfielder.
