Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck has received significant praise for the energy and composure he showed in his first Serie A start against Udinese.

As L’Interista highlights, the player ratings for the match in Italian media were very complimentary towards the German.

Saturday evening was not the first time that Bisseck had started for Inter.

The 23-year-old had already started in two Champions League matches, away to Red Bull Salzburg and Benfica.

And it was also not the first time that Bisseck had played in Serie A.

The defender had already played some substitute appearances in the league this season.

But on Saturday, Bisseck finally got a start, in Serie A, at the San Siro.

Yann Bisseck Praised For First Start In Serie A Vs Udinese

In Bisseck’s first start for Inter, the German had a decent outing but came off at halftime.

This was due to the fact that the 23-year-old had picked up a yellow card during the first half.

Then against Benfica, it was a real game of two halves for Bisseck. The German struggled in the first half before finding his bearings in the second.

And against Udinese, Bisseck looked like he was continuing that momentum from the second half in Lisbon, when he had helped Inter to a memorable comeback.

The 23-year-old brought a lot of energetic, front-foot defending.

This gave the impression that Bisseck had fully integrated into Simone Inzaghi’s style of play. He had absorbed the coach’s demands for the wide centre-backs in a 3-5-2 shape.

And at the same time, the German showed plenty of composure.

That had perhaps been the element that was missing in Bisseck’s first couple starts. The fact that the defender was making his first couple starts really showed, understandably.

But against Udinese, that same feeling wasn’t there.

The German looked like a player with a lot more Serie A experience than he in fact has.
