Former Inter midfielder Francesco Bolzoni didn’t appreciate the way Milan Skriniar left the club last summer.
The defender allowed his contract with the Nerazzurri to expire before joining Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
The Italian giants could have made a major profit by selling the Slovakian to the French champions a year earlier.
Nevertheless, Skriniar ended up staying at Appiano Gentile with the management expecting him to sign a renewal. However, things unfolded quite differently.
Last summer also witnessed the departure of Romelu Lukaku on a dramatic note.
The Belgian had previously pledged his loyalty to Inter during his miserable time at Chelsea.
But while the Nerazzurri were trying to keep him at the club on a permanent basis, they later discovered that he and his agent were subsequently plotting a transfer to Juventus.
For his part, Bolzoni felt more disappointed by Skriniar’s exit rather than Lukaku’s.
The 34-year-old argues that the Slovakian owed a lot to Inter since he arrived at the club as a relatively unsung player.
On the other hand, the retired midfielder believes that Lukaku’s career path is being controlled by someone in his entourage.
“Skriniar’s behavior bothered me more than Lukaku’s,” said Bolzoni in his interview with L’Interista via FcInter1908.
“He arrived at Inter as an almost unknown player. He wore the captain’s armband and then abandoned a group that needed him.
“As for Lukaku, I believe his constant transfers are recommended by someone who has a strong hold on him.”

On another note, Bolzoni argues that Inter would be better off keeping Alexis Sanchez rather than signing a replacement in January.
“No, I wouldn’t sell Sanchez now. He works hard whenever he plays and has a great mentality.
“I wouldn’t risk adding in a replacement who perhaps wouldn’t even agree to act as an understudy Lautaro and Thuram.”
