Inter Milan defender Benjamin Pavard urges his teammates to produce the goods against Lazio this evening.
The Nerazzurri will clash heads with the Italian capital side at Al-Awwal Stadium in Riyadh in the Semi-final of the Italian Super Cup.
The Beanamata enter the first-ever expanded edition of the competition as last season’s Coppa Italia winners. On the other hand, the Aquile earned their spot in the mini-tournament after finishing as the runners-up in Serie A.
Inter will also be looking to make it three triumphs in a row, having clinched the previous two editions of the competition at the expense of Juventus and AC Milan.
Nevertheless, Pavard believes the team’s road to the final won’t be easy. He warns that Lazio is a strong team that can cause them problems at the back.
“Lazio are a good team. It will be a complicated evening,” admitted the 2018 World Cup winner in his pre-match interview with Inter TV via FcInterNews.
“We will have to play a good match because we will be up against a strong team.”
“Our opponents not only possess good attackers, but a whole dangerous team.
“We will have to play a careful game because they might get many chances to score.”

Since his arrival at the club, the Frenchman immediately established a solid rapport with Nerazzuri fans.
Therefore, Pavard misses the warm support of the Black-and-Blue fanbase, regretting not playing this clash at San Siro.
“Inter have fantastic fans. We’re sorry they won’t be there tonight, I would have liked to play at San Siro in front of them.
“But we hope to win tonight after playing a great match and reaching the final.”
The winner of this contest will contend the final with Napoli. The Italian champions booked their place with a 3-0 win over Fiorentina in the first semi-final.
