Atalanta have reportedly rejected Inter Milan’s second offer for Ademola Lookman, worth €45 million.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan have been pushing to sign forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta. This week, they made their second official offer for the Nigerian international.
Atalanta had already reportedly rejected a €40 million bid from Inter for Lookman a couple weeks ago. However, that did not deter Inter.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri raised their offer to €45 million including add-ons. Reports suggest that it was around €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons.

Inter formally presented their second offer for Lookman earlier this week.
Atalanta have taken their time to respond to the bid. The Nerazzurri have had to wait a couple of day for the reply from their Lombard neighbours.
However, today Atalanta have delivered their response to Inter.
And according to Sky Sport Italia, La Dea have flatly denied the second offer.
Furthermore, Atalanta have not made a counteroffer to Inter. They have not named any valuation for the 27-year-old, hinting at an outright unwillingness to sell him.
Therefore, the broadcaster anticipate that this could bring a swift end to the transfer saga between Inter and Lookman.

As much as we need a technical / tricky player – hopefully frattesi will flourish in a new system given actual playing time and SS will suit him perfectly.

Earlier i said we came into this transfer window without much preparation. For each position you want to reinforce you need to have 2,3 option in mind, otherwise our scouts ain’t doing their work. And our offloading of players isn’t for praise either. This failed bid is good for us, allowed us to invest in more dire positions, CB and CM.
let’s move on and never do business with Atalanta again. Invest the fund on Leoni. But we don’t have any dribblers that could take their man in our squad? Please don’t go for Juve’s Nico Gonzalez, rather we can gamble Chiesa (only on Loan). I would want us to invest in Italian talents.

Raising an offer by €2 million is ridiculous! You either want the player or not, but make your mind up, and move on!! Lookman would have been a great signing, but we have gaping holes in defence that need dealing with, while we already have 4 strikers ready to go!!
As for Atalanta, what we should do (but we won’t) is simply say “fine, but this won’t be forgotten…. Good luck to you if you ever want one of our players in the future….” What a fucking waste of 3 weeks!!!!
I think most Interesti saw this coming but yet we were still hopeful of the signing happening….never trust a scumbag team like Atalanta ever again with any of our players. like most have said, we need to focus on the gaps in the squad i.e. defence so move on with Leoni/Koni and get it done asap!! bloody Benchods!!! #ForzaInter

Can we now use those funds for more important positions like defense? We can actually get leoni. And then use the remaining for a way younger more talented attacking midfielder/winger. But we really don’t need more attackers.
1000% on board with everything you say. Spend that money on Leoni. Try our best to sell some of this dead old weight we have in the roster and go after a young up and coming striker. Also no more dealings with Atalanta without screwing them over. Period!
