Cristian Chivu has reportedly given the Inter Milan squad two days off before their final push in training for the Serie A season.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan are now just a week away from the start of their Serie A season.
The Nerazzurri host Torino on August 25th in their first match of the campaign.
Inter will be starting life under new coach Cristian Chivu, who replaced Simone Inzaghi on the bench during the summer.
The Romanian has been in charge of matches at the Club World Cup. However, the match against Torino will be his first Serie A match in charge of Inter.
Chivu Gives Inter Squad Two Days Off Before Final Preseason Push

Yesterday, Inter played their final warmup friendly. They beat Greek side Olympiacos 2-0.
After yesterday’s exertions, coach Cristian Chivu has given his players a couple days to rest and recharge.
Inter’s squad have been working basically nonstop for the last three weeks. Chivu has given them a physically intense schedule.
Now, Chivu will allow the players to take a breather for a couple days.
Then, on Tuesday, the squad will return to begin the final push to get ready for the season to come.
I hate it when we sell our young players, zalewski deserve to be inter Milano for couples years, this management will ruined this Italian giant with young players sell here and there.while the old ones still around
These days, news about rest makes me as happy as a major transfer would. Good to know – this year, we will be rested and will win the Serie A with the players we got. Lookman will get us the Champions League!
I doubt inter will make it pass group stage of Uefa, it’s been clear since last season that our players were now old and tired and this management again is trying to drag this same old legs through another grueling season again ? By now we should have two promising center backs in the team and two solid ball caring defensive midfielders that can shield the defense as that was our Achilles heels last season, we left only hakan to be our defensive midfielder and he had a terrible season and that made us to lose so many matches
