Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu is reportedly a big fan of Udinese defender Oumar Solet.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews. They report that the Frenchman would cost a fee of around €25 million.
Inter Milan are still hoping to sign a defender before the transfer window closes.
The Nerazzurri are well aware of the fact that they need to freshen up an aging defense. The lies of Stefan de Vrij and Francesco Acerbi are now well into their thirties.
And in the meantime, inter could also reportedly still sell defender Benjamin Pavard after two seasons at the club.
Report – Inter Coach Cristian Chivu A Big Fan Of Oumar Solet

According to SportMediaset, Oumar Solet is still a player who is on Inter’s radar as one of their main targets to bolster their backline in the final days of the transfer window.
The broadcaster report, meanwhile, that Udinese have made the price tag clear for Solet.
The Friulani reportedly want a fee of around €25 million to sell the Frenchman. This just half a season after signing him on a free transfer.
And according to Mediaset, Inter coach Cristian Chivu is a big fan of Solet in particular.
He also said before that he was a Leoni fan, but we all know where Leoni ended up. Lately this club has been talking too much nonsense.
Is he attempting to sign an entire start 11 made of French players? lol.
You forgot to mention he is an alleged rapist
10/10 journalism
If you don’t want to keep Palacios as backup on left side, bring Pirola back for 10mil. 23 years, inter graduate, can still improve, currently the best Italian cheap option as cb. As far as other younger Italians, Comuzzo or Scalvini are worth up to 40 mil, Leoni wasn’t worth that much, maybe 30mil, but even that is pushing it.
Yes, horrible bussiness. Home grown player, we got around 6mil for him, last summer i have written sign him instead of Palacios for 3 mil. And look Agoume, Vagiannidis, Zanotti, Fabbian, Oristanio and others how their value doubled or trippled. Just shows how daft Ausilio was.
We need to watch this season youngster from Lecce Gabriel Tiago, 20 years. Currently best player on pitch vs Genoa…. And Napoli is leading 2:0 vs Sassuolo. They only know to take points from us.
Pirola??? Best cheap CB?
Did you see him play for Salernitana?
Some fans here keep telling about youngsters from youth team – many of them were not Inter material. No way most of them could ever be Inter starters. Bonazzoli, Crisetig, Pirola, Cassadei and even Sebastiano Esposito. All mid table players. That is the truth. All seen as the next big thing, crown jewl, biggest hope and so on. No chance given? They got chances at mid table teams when loaned and were average.
I’m OK with Comuzzo or Scalvini – very good options in defence – players that actually had solid games with their teams in Serie A but a big no for Pirola.
Pirola would be a time bomb in defence…you simply can’t have Pirola as a backup to Bastoni. Never!!!
Best ITALIAN cheap youngster, yes. I did say on earlier threads that we had talented youths who went for cheap, and that some of them had a chance to played a part here. I said Pirola, the rest of Esposito brothers, Stankovic brothers, Fabbian, Casadei, Agoume, Zanotti, Vagiannidis, Zaniolo, each of them could play rotation, some of them could’ve grew to become standard 11. We could’ve saved money on buying rotational players on these players to buy star players who would’ve made immediate impact.
he said INTER MATERIAL which means there’s no in between or in other words we need more than just average, rotational players etc. most of players you mentioned are average like palacios, taremi and asllani. if they are considered as good backups, the management will never consider to push them out.
you support wrong club if you want inter to polish talented youngsters
if pirola so good, he will play in serie a club. or at least in top 10 europe league.
Tell me then, what use were Correa, Arnautovic, Taremi, Asllani, de Vrij(last 3 seasons), Zielinski, even before them there were useless players for us like Vidal, Sanchez, Young, Nainggolan… Each of them had minimum 2 mil wage and in some cases even went up to 6 mil. None of them were good, couldn’t it have been better to give their place in 25 team to some of our youngsters, and use that money to bring star players of other teams to boost our first 11.
As for why we need to play and develop youngsters, it’s because any English club can outspend us, than there are Spain trio, Psg, Bayern, and probably a couple more clubs. Better to give some playing time to kids so we can sell them for 15mil and more than to sell them for under 5 mil.
