Defender Tomas Palacios has decided to stay at Inter Milan this summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Argentine has turned down offers from Santos and Trabzonspor.
Inter Milan have been looking to offload defender Tomas Palacios this summer.
The Nerazzurri only just signed the Argentine last summer. However, since arriving at the club, he has never really looked convincing.
Meanwhile, Palacios spent the second half of last season on loan with Monza.
A few potential destinations have emerged for Palacios this summer.
The Argentine had reportedly been close to joining Swiss side Basel on loan with a purchase option. However, that move collapsed at the final stages.
Then, Santos had seemingly been close to signing Palacios on loan with a purchase option. They agreed a deal with Inter in the last couple days.
Furthermore, Turkish club Trabzonspor have also tried to sign Palacios.

Palacios himself, however, has not found any of the potential moves to be convincing.
Therefore, the 23-year-old himself pulled the plug on the move to Santos.
Furthermore, Tuttosport report, Palacios also rejected the idea of going to Trabzonspor.
Therefore, despite not figuring greatly in Inter’s plans, Palacios has made his decision. He will remain at the Nerazzurri and try to make a place for himself.
He has 4 years remaining in the contract. Making 600k net while relaxing on the bench is cool. After the contract runs out he might quit football as a millionaire. lol
* 600k net per year
Its hard to say hes a flop cause he never played …
but that’s exactly why he’s a flop. He’s been monitored by the coaches who have decided not to field him based on what they’ve seen.
Indeed. If a player can’t convince the coaches to play him at least once, he is a big flop.
asslani 2.0
Maybe good backup.
Or he could play for U23?
