Inter Milan had reportedly tried to stop Lautaro Martinez from joining the Argentina squad for Friday’s clash against Angola.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, Inter’s efforts were unsuccessful as El Toro decided to get the vaccine. 

Having already qualified for next summer’s FIFA World Cup, Lionel Scaloni’s men can focus on fine-tuning ahead of the tournament.

Therefore, they will take on Angola in an international friendly on Friday.

Interestingly, that will be La Albiceleste’s only fixture in November.

With the vaccine the only way to set foot in Angola, Lautaro Martinez had no choice but to comply.

Otherwise, he would have been unable to help his national team this week.

On the other hand, Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has sent his Argentine trio back home.

Indeed, Giuliano Simeone, Nahuel Molina, and Julian Alvarez have pulled out of the squad. 

Meanwhile, the Inter captain has decided to remain loyal to Argentina and fulfill his international duties. 

Despite Inter’s feeble attempt to keep him at Appiano Gentile, El Toro has once again demonstrated his commitment to his country.
