Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries could reportedly return to the squad for next week’s heavyweight clash against Liverpool.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the 29-year-old star is on the verge of recovery.

Denzel Dumfries suffered a nasty ankle injury during Inter’s 2-0 home win over Lazio on the eve of the international break.

Therefore, he missed the Milan derby and Inter’s trip to Spain to face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Furthermore, he was on the sidelines last weekend when the Nerazzurri beat Pisa 2-0 to return to winning ways.

Inter manager Cristian Chivu is unlikely to have Dumfries at his disposal for next weekend’s Serie A match against Como.

However, the former PSV Eindhoven star could make himself available for Liverpool’s visit to San Siro next week.
