Inter Milan center-back Manuel Akanji delivered an outstanding performance in Wednesday’s 2-0 victory over Parma.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Swiss center-back never put his foot wrong at the Ennio Tardini.

Cristian Chivu’s side registered their ninth clean sheet in 18 Serie A matches this season.

Furthermore, the Nerazzurri prevented Parma from attempting a single shot on target, restricting them to four total shots.

Much of the credit goes to Manuel Akanji, who had a great game.

Akanji started at the center of Chivu’s backline, with Carlos Augusto and Yann Bisseck playing next to him.

However, the Manchester City loanee stole the spotlight with a remarkable performance.

Indeed, the 30-year-old had a field day against Mateo Pellegrino, keeping the Argentine striker in his back pocket all night.

Moreover, Akanji’s calmness on the ball stood out as he played a prominent role in the build-up play.

Meanwhile, Luis Henrique failed to live up to the task in his ninth consecutive start across all competitions.
