Inter are among several clubs monitoring rising Italian talent Marco Palestra, but Atalanta are determined to keep control of the situation despite growing interest.
The wing-back, currently on loan at Cagliari, has emerged as one of the most promising young players in Italy.
His development has been carefully managed by Atalanta, who allowed him to gain regular first-team experience away from Bergamo.
That strategy is now paying off.
Reports from SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, highlight how Palestra is attracting strong interest both domestically and abroad ahead of the summer transfer window.
Atalanta would prefer to retain the youngster and integrate him into their long-term plans at Zingonia.
However, there is an acceptance that a major offer could test their resolve. It is suggested that bids in the region of €45–50 million may be difficult to turn down.
Inter & Arsenal Monitor Atalanta Man Palestra
Inter are keeping a close eye on the situation, particularly as they evaluate options on the right flank. Juventus and Milan are also credited with interest, pointing to strong competition within Serie A.
The biggest threat, though, could come from the Premier League.
Clubs in England are well positioned financially to meet Atalanta’s valuation, and existing connections could accelerate negotiations.
Palestra shares representation links with Riccardo Calafiori, whose move to Arsenal underlines those established pathways.
With Tottenham also having previously made enquiries, the route to England appears open.
For Inter, that means any potential move would require both strategic planning and significant investment to win the race for one of Italy’s most in-demand young prospects.
Price for everyone else 25m
Price for inter 40m…..until we offer 40m and then the price is 45m etc etc
Your so right when is inter turn to get a young italian players the price skyrockets but when is a team like napoli or milan it decreases
If atalanta misses european football they will sell
Atalanta will NEVER sell to Inter. Palestra would have to dig his feet in and demand a transfer to within Italy to make Inter have any chance of securing him.
It’s in Palestra’s best interest to force a move now to Inter because you never know when injury could strike and ruin your career. Make the move as soon as you can. You don’t want to live in England with their terrible food, terrible weather and average women.
