Inter Milan remain firmly in the mind of Antonio Conte spotlight after the Napoli head coach made pointed comments about the Nerazzurri’s season and their growing list of objectives.
Conte spoke after Napoli’s win over Cremonese, reflecting on his own side’s progress while also drawing comparisons with Inter’s campaign, with quotes via FCInter1908.
He highlighted how fine margins continue to define the title race and how pressure shapes expectations at the top end of Serie A.
“We have been under pressure all season, but we are the only team to have already lifted a trophy,” Conte said, referring to Napoli’s Supercoppa success.
“Maybe it is a communication issue, because only our negatives are highlighted.”
He then directly referenced Inter’s position in multiple competitions.
“Inter can win two trophies this year, but last year they didn’t win any,” he said, underlining the contrast in perceived expectations between the clubs.
Conte Concedes Scudetto Defeat As Inter Beat Napoli To Serie A
For Inter, Conte’s remarks add another layer to an already intense title race.
Cristian Chivu’s side are still fighting on multiple fronts, with the Scudetto within reach and the Coppa Italia final against Lazio also ahead.
Internally, the Nerazzurri continue to focus on controlling the pressure rather than reacting to external narratives.
The Inter dressing room views the situation as motivation rather than criticism. With four points needed to secure the league title and a European-level squad still competing deep into the season, the club remains in a strong position.
Conte’s comments, however, underline how Inter now carry the weight of expectation as the only Italian side still in contention for multiple major honours.
while we can arge when Inter began to improve following the banter years and surely Spalletti and Conte deserve credit, let’s not forget Mancini who instead on the club signing Perisic. That for me was when things started to change
How rude! 🙂 Still thank you for the 19th Scudetto! 🙂
Inter getting knocked out of the UCL was probably the best thing to happen to expose this fraud. This man drains his players with his training methods and tactics. Clown
But he wins
He started the process of what you now see at inter, he made us relevant again.
I won’t bad mouth him.
+1.
Unfortunately some have short memory. I will never speak ill of Conte, because he truly attracted solid players and made them win. Keep in mind, those who have negative opinion of him, every coach afterwards is still using the 3-5-2 system.
No spaletti did
Spaletti was a bum who got 4th place by luck.
He wins for a year or two but YM is right. He drives teams into the ground after short term success because his coaching ability begins and ends at being intense. It’s also why his teams are terrible in the UCL. Quality teams with time to prepare simply play around his caveman football.
Shut the fuck up talk about now not the past
Toni toni… where would you be without daniela presents. Maybe in eindhoven. Brush your hair and go to sleep
yes mr conte when your team played 15 fewer games you won closely good for you
