Inter Milan face competition from Atlético Madrid in the pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero.
According to CaughtOffside, Atlético are in club-to-club talks with Tottenham and are also speaking with the player’s representatives. Arsenal have also made enquiries, although Tottenham prefer to sell Romero abroad rather than to their north London rivals.
Inter had agreed terms with Tottenham for Romero but still need player exits before they can proceed, according to the same report. That leaves the Italian side competing with Atlético as discussions continue.
Atlético Talks Add to Inter’s Challenge
Atlético have renewed their interest in Romero and made him an active target, while Inter remain among the clubs in the race for the defender.
For Inter, completing the required exits remains an important part of any move for Romero. Atlético’s talks with Tottenham add another factor to the transfer situation.
So you think Perisic age would limit him or the team; see let me tell you age is just a number, for me Perisic age won’t stop him if he desires success. As you can see Romero isn’t interested in joining Inter. He just wants to join a club with high salary. We have players that can benefit us infact we don’t need Romero and with his mentality how do you think he would succeed in Inter. One thing I hate is that we undervalue our players and overrate others playing in big teams.
with 37 year old Perisic we can hardly conquer Europe.
I think that this romero might be overrated, I mean if he wanted to join inter he would have agreed on personal terms but he wants to join Atletico madrid because they are offering higher salary, I don’t want a player like that for inter so if he dosen’t want to join inter let him go to Atletico madrid and we don’t really, really need him.
come on man, are we crazy spending that money for him? we have so many Defenders already, even our young defender was promising
we need RB n perisic n we can conquer Europe.
