Inter Milan have discovered their eight League Phase opponents for the 2026/27 Champions League, with four fixtures at San Siro and four on the road shaping their campaign.

The draw in Monte Carlo confirmed the Nerazzurri’s path in the third edition of the single-table format.

Home and Away Fixtures Confirmed

According to Sky Sport, Inter will host Liverpool, Club Brugge, Shakhtar Donetsk and Stuttgart at San Siro. Away from home, the Nerazzurri travel to Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Feyenoord and Slovan Bratislava.

Inter are in Pot 1, alongside Roma, Napoli and Como as the four Serie A representatives in this year’s competition. Como’s inclusion marks their first Champions League appearance, with the club drawn into Pot 4.

How the League Phase Works

For the third consecutive year, the competition uses the single-table format introduced in 2024/25. The 36 participating clubs are split into four pots by coefficient, with each side facing two opponents from each pot for eight total matches – four at home and four away.

UEFA’s rules also prevent two clubs from the same national federation meeting in the League Phase, while no more than two opponents can come from the same federation overall.

The competition kicks off between 8-10 September 2026, with the eighth and final matchday set for 27 January 2027, when every fixture will be played simultaneously. The top eight in the single table advance directly to the round of 16, while sides finishing ninth to 24th enter a playoff round; anyone from 25th to 36th is eliminated outright.

What It Means for Inter

Every one of Inter’s eight results will carry direct weight toward their final standing, whether that means direct passage to the knockouts or a playoff route via ninth to 24th place. Inter must navigate the League Phase before any playoffs, scheduled for 16-17 and 23-24 February 2027, followed by the round of 16 in March. The final is set for 5 June 2027 at Madrid’s Metropolitano.
