Difference is Zanetti and Maicon could deliver a cross/pass. Having Dodo do that you can be sure the keeper would open his arms and the ball would fall straight into his gloves..
don’t let him cross from deep. it was obvious he can’t cross. let him do his things. dribbling, going forward, take the ball to the byline and took a low cross to the center of the penalty. he is better at that

Nobody said that we must beat them on their own ground. Be we have to point the mistakes and tell each other things that we didn’t like. Do you like Ranocchia, Campagnaro or Guarin performances tonight? Do you like how we’ve played first half defending deep in our half with 11 players behind the ball and kicking it as far, as possible?
Mm i think that is tactic of mancini in the first place, moving the ball fast vertically. And giving the ball as fast as possible to the box.
I think that’s good tactic agains fast and dangerous Roma attacking players. But in that case you have to be prepared and knowing how to counter them, i did not see it tonight. If you’ll use that kind of Mourinho’s parking the bus, then put JJ as a left fullback and you’ll need speedy attacking players we dont have.
we have players that we have and i cant say that they did not give they best but roma are superior team and that is it

Exactly our midfielders aren’t mobile so that’s why we look so poor in possession despite being one of the teams with the most average possession in Italy
Guys. We are playing against the strongest attack in the league. Even the best defenders in the world cant stop rapid fast attack of roma without strong and compact defense. Our defense system is just not perfect yet, the players leave too much holes everywhere.

no defenders can stop fast attack. but strong organized defense can. for me, the problem is not really on the defenders. but the midfield was too easy to go through leaving the defense totally exposed. and another note, we all know how roma had fast attack while we had slow defence, so why did we played a rather high defensive line?
I think tactically we have done right. Our offside trap working well. Only the players cant interpreted it well and too tired to move their ass off…
disagree. we take too much time for closing roma’s player movement. we must press high. the way I see it, our defender often wait until our opponent get into our defensive zone then they react. we need to close their movement fast.
they are not a pacey defenders. if they lost even just a step, then the attacker will face the keeper directly. this team never comfortable playing a high defensive line. it’s better to slow the game and force them to play our pace instead of we playing their’s

We’ve played brave second half, this is the attitude that i wanna see, not thinking how not to lose. Mancini delayed with the substitutions, have to take the risk earlier. Another disappointing performance from Guarin, we have to sell this guy as possible, as can. Capmpagnaro is not good as a central defender, and wors as a full back. Too many mistakes especially in defense, poor game for Juan. Now Roma is better team than us, have to admit that. We can’t now pay money they spend 15 millions for Naingolan, 20 for Strootman, 15 for Iturbe etc. We need to find two quality players this winter one creative midfielder and one wing.

Our squad is fine, we just need to change some of the players for better/more motivated players. We have a slightly lower average market value than Napoli, and way higher than teams like Fiorentina, Genoa and Sampdoria which are all ahead of us on the table.
You can stop looking at market values and look at the players. Holebas is worth 2 million and destroyed us in that solo goal. Ljalič is worth less than Guarin or Ranocchia but did much more.
We are the lpsing side from the beginning. Our only chances to win is either by luck and determination. We have luck twice, but HAVE NO DETERMINATION AT ALL.

After watching Ranocchia completely fail as a defender for the millionth time. I have to say, it’s time to not only strip him of the captaincy, but to start looking to offload him, Inter can get a good price for him, he’s overrated.
He fails as a defender, he doesn’t have a winning mentality, he doesn’t have leadership skills…. I’m tired of hearing him TALK about trying hard and then always watching him fail as a defender and launch useless long balls forward…
Juan Jesus would be a much better captain. He clearly has a winning mentality and he’s mature. Ranocchia and Guarin need to be sold, we can get good money for them. Neither is essential to the team, Ranocchia had promise as a youngster, when he had that defensive partnership with Bonucci. But clearly Bonucci was the strong link in that chain. Ranocchia was given the captaincy because he showed promise but we have to face facts, he’s just not that good. He’s slow, he’s poor technically, and even his defending is subpar for a club of Inter’s stature.
I’ll say it again, offload Guarin and Ranocchia before their price drops significantly.

Couldn’t agree more, i am absolutely clueless of how people on this site can say he’s doing a good job or he played well against Roma. His marking and decision making is horrendous, i know Vidic has cost us some goals, but he is experienced and fit well into the 4 man defense. Rano fits better in Bari..
I’ve been defending Rano because I thought he’s done a good job in most of the games. But he is slow and inconsistent. JJ to me isn’t any better. He is like soldier without football IQ but he has time on his side. Rano doesn’t.
Maybe it’s time to give Vidic and Andreolli a chance. I have high hopes for D’ambrosio as a right back when he gets fit.
Obviously, unless we want to continue having a disastrous defense. Today 3 out of the four man defense had no idea what they were doing, the only one with potential is JJ and he had a bad game too.
Vidic and Juan might be better just simply because Vidic is a more experienced defender and a more natural leader

Dodo is fine he’s young and has been playing well for the most part, he’s also versatile, he has the dribbling ability to play on the wing as well.
Kuzmanovic has been playing well this season I would keep him, he’s become a solid midfielder.
Ranocchia and Palacio need to go, Ranocchia should be sold and Palacio’s contract will expire soon anyway, no need to sell him unless we can get a quality replacement up front since we only have 5 players that are natural forwards and two of them is are Primavera players.
How many crosses does Dodo get off during a game? how many times does he actually dribble past players. Yes he is young and yes he will make mistakes but he should not be starting especially in Serie A

Dodo is better than any of the full backs we have when they were his age. Nagatomo gets off about 5 crosses per game but they’re never accurate, Dodo has much more precision with his crossing. He dribbles past players plenty, he does make mistakes because he’s young but so do Kovacic and Icardi. Dodo should be purchased after his loan deal expires.
I am not saying we should not keep him or that he should not play what i am saying is he does not deserve to be our starting left back
Kuzmanovic never gonna turn in a solid midfielder, believe me. He’s a decent player and can be useful for some midtable team, but he’s not useful for us.
On regards to Dodo i agree with @interfansince98, i don’t know about him. He is not a left back but he’s not a left midfielder neither. He can’t defend but he can’t cross neither so what do we make of him?

Dodo can’t defend at all, Roma made around 15 attacks trough his area, but he needs more help from the others. Good game for now for the captain after some terrible preferences. The result is positive, but i don’t like this kind of attitude and mindset to defend deep in your half with 11 players behind the ball and always kicking the ball forward, like relegation team.

He is incredibly inconsistent but when he plays good, he plays GOOD.
Well he scored a goal but besides that he is utterly useless. Nowhere near neither ball or man on their goal and same thing again on the offside goal. He only looks at the ball and not to check if any attackers need marking. Should be first one out the door this transfer window.
