How times change. Our player of the month for January 2015 is none other than Nemanja Vidic. He has been nothing but class at the back this month.
He didnt play against Juventus but once he got his chance to break into the first 11, he grabbed it with both hands. Against Genoa at home, he lead the back line with calm and at some times ease. As Nima later put it beautifully in his ratings, he showed us why he was considered the best defender in the world. Oh and yes he scored an important goal to calm nerves as well.
At the Castellani against Empoli, he showed that he was here to stay in the team and almost repeated the feat of scoring. He made Rannochia look good and in general bossed the defence even though Empoli were targetting him with pace.
He was SempreInter’s man of the match in the defeat against Toro too simply reminding Interisti that his class remains permanent.
In this months poll, Handanovic ran Nemanja very close but the Toro game took its toll, ratings wise. Honorable mention to Guarin who rounded off the top 3.
