“Speaking of Icardi, I do not think there are any problems in terms of his football ability. If you ask me about his behaviour, I say no, and I will only speak about him related to football.” These were the words of Argentina coach Martino when asked about Inter striker Mauro Icardi.
The coach has held the door open for a potential international call for the Inter attacker despite strong competition from the likes of Higuain and Aguero. However, the list of Argentinian strikers is long. The coach said: “In addition to those that are already in the team there are names like Dybala, Vietto, Di Santo, Icardi, Carrilo, Bou. Currently there are eight or nine Argentines who play in the centre forward position and they all play well. It will not be easy to see them in action and try them out in such a short time between now and the Coppa America.”
