Corriere dello Sport reports that Inter’s troubles to extend Mauro Icardi’s contract can be resolved this weekend when President Erick Thohir arrives to Milano for the derby.
The Rome-based newspaper writes that the negotiations have been going slow but the arrival of the Nerazzurri President could iron out the final details which will see the striker put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him tied with the club until June 2019 and the player will earn € 2.5 million a season.

More expenses increased, without decreasing the liabilities?
Just laughable that guarin and palacio earns 3 m per season, when Icardi is a world class striker…
But hey, good for us!
I agree he should obviously earn more than both palacio and guarin. If you look at it from Inters perspective, their policies is not to give younger players higher wages than the teams senators because the older they get the more salary they will offer.. So if they offer a very high salary at a young age then when he reaches around 26-27 he would be earning roughly around 8-10 mill. But in my opinion icardi should be given at least 3 mill on this contract renewal and on his next renewal 4-5 mill.. By that time inter financially will be stronger and iff icardi stayed that long without a doubt he would be earning more than what I predicted.
Woohoo! Go thohir!
