Inter’s Sporting Director was a guest last night on Sky Sport’s Football Night where he spoke about the situation regarding Mauro Icardi and Samir Handanovic´s contract extensions.
“In all renewals there are things that need to be fixed and times to follow. We want to extend and adjust Icardi’s contract. And when there is a will, in the end, things will always work out.”
“Handanovic? We speak regularly to his agent, our intensions are clear, maybe they don’t talk with eachother. We definitely want to keep him and we have offered him an extension as well as adjustments to his contract” Ausilio concluded.
I think they both will leave. Handanovic wants CL and Icardi’s buyout clause will be triggered from Chelsea like they did with Cuadrado…it’s sad but inevitable.
At LEAST One player with high transfer fee must be sacrificed for Mancini’s incoming transfers. Probably Handanovic.
PS: Icardi does NOT have a buy-out clause, they don’t usually insert such clauses in Serie A. Plus, Icardi still has a contract until 2018 so there is no rush, he just wants a bigger wage.
