The former Milan manager gave his opinion on this Sunday’s derby in an interview with Corriere della Sera.
“It will be an interesting challenge between two teams that are still under construction. On paper, Inter have something more, but historically in the Milan derby there are always surprises. For both teams the Champions league is the absolute objective. The decisive men? Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano for Milan, Mauro Icardi for Inter”.
On the subject of Inter, Capello added: “Inter have a more complete roster, however, Roberto Mancini, while being great, will need time to assemble the squad. That is why I see Milan as more ahead in the project”.
It will also be a derby between those who already have foreign ownership and those who are about to live the same change. Capello Applauds: “They are highly favourable if they arrive with the resources that will allow for the Milanese teams to to return to the highest level. The biggest clubs in Europe are in the hands of Russian tycoons or Arabs”.
