FcInterNews report that despite having their loan offer declined by Marseille, Inter haven’t quite given up on former defender Rolando. According to the report: “negotiations in recent days have proved difficult, and Inter’s loan offer was rejected. The French club want an outright sale. According to FcInternews.it, the terms of the deal could change in the last couple hours of the mercato. Inter are still in the market for a central defender that can replace Ranocchia and Vidic.”
In fact, Rolando is our best bet in central defense right
now. Having previously played for Inter he already understands the team and the
system of play. As such, he can easily adapt with the squad, so Ausilio and
company should try their best possible get him during this January transfer,
whatever it takes. This guy was really good with us during his brief spell with
us two seasons ago. He can defend and scheme, at least he was able to score 4 goals for us as a defender. So Ausilio and
Zannet, get Roland at all cost because he will help solve our defensive woes
and help the team get out of its predicament.
