Gianluca Di Marzio reports on his homepage that talks between Inter and Palmeiras for Gabriel Jesus continued today but “however no new significant steps forward were taken.” Accprding to Di Marzio despite this “Inter remain confident in a positive outcome of the negotiations.”
Di Marzio then continues with stating that should Gabriel Jesus arrive, Inter won’t be able to sign Alex Texeira or Marlon “because with the arrival of Jesus the last non-EU spot will have been taken with Caner Erkin having taken the other spot.” Di Marzio reprots further that it is due to this unclear situation that “the idea of Gabbiadini is resisting.”

The more I watch him the more I like him, the more I thougt that we should buy him
Caner Erkin, you’d better worth it for that Non-EU slot!
Ohh my what a dream… Gabriel Jesus + Alex Teixeira + Perisic
I sincerely hope that he joins us soon, thus reinforcing our attacking side. The squabble between Wanda and Ausillo is increasingly disheartening.

If he arrives in January, why does that not leave us with one remaining non-EU spot for this window?
italian teams can sign 2 non-eu players each season. eu spots goes for the whole season (i.e. 2016/2017) and not per transfer window. Erkin was signed in july, thus for this (2016/17) season. –> only one spot left. Capsice? :))
Yes I understand now thanks 🙂
great 🙂
