Gazzetta dello Sport concludes in today’s newspaper that Inter and Zenit have agreed terms for the transfer of Belgian midfielder Axel Witsel to the Nerazzurri.
According to the report, Zenit have accepted Inter’s offer of €22 million and have surpassed Merseysie duo Liverpool and Everton in the race to sign the midfielder. The Gazzetta also concludes that Witsel will make the move officially within the next week or next week at the latest and that Roberto Mancini is prepared to sacrifice Marcelo Brozovic to finance the transfer. However, Brozovic won’t be allowed to leave for a fee under €25 million.

I dont understand all the hate for Brozo. We got the dude for 5 million!!!!! Beside Icardi he is the only player that we have bought for less that what he is worth now.
Although I believe both J Mario and Witsel are overrated as hell, I prefer JM over Witsel anyday.
People BROZOVIC is very a consistent player he is a very hard working midfielder last season he was 1 of our best week in week out if u watched all our games he is a great passer and possession gainer brozo, perisic, benega, candreva, kondogbia inters 2017

This article is rubbish inter milan are not signing witsel we do not have the funds to sign him $22 million we couldn’t fund candreva signing for $25 mil we definitely not buying axel witsel,,, even though suning have gave inter lots money the fact is only a small amount of it will be for new transfers so any player over 18 million euros is to expensive for inter milan therefore don’t waste your time thinking axel witsel is going to come HES NOT!!

No that is not true we can buy now and sell as well but its not because of ffp we haven’t bought any new players yet its because inter milans recruitment officials have not been successful in negotiations with potential targets mainly due to there ignorant way of negotiating deals
All the talks about nurturing young players, yet so many of us being impatient. Brozo is inconsistent, yes I know, but he still has plenty room for improvements.

Brozo is decent, and still lot of potential to develop. But you know, our style didn’t suit potential-to-develop player. You could name a few player who developed their skill with us.
We never have that tradition, so why not for Witsel?

Witsel is not an offensive midfielder. We already bought Ever Banega for that part. Witsel is more like a central midfielder to fight for the ball, pressing, tackling, distribute ball, and maintain possession/tempo.
He is likely a replacement for Melo and upgrade of Medel, with a better technique and younger age.

Kondog had a well 2nd half season last time, and he is adapting, next season, if trusted, Im sure Kondog will be good.
he would play alongside kdog as the right 2 in the 4-2-3-1
probably broz one day will be better then witsel…he is still young and one of rare who has improved last few season…if he continue to grow as a player, sure he will be awesome…but now, he is too inconstant and that why i like to we buy witsel…we don’t have time….next season we must be top 3…and for that we need more constant players what Witsel is…

One leg Witsel is better than Brozovic. Brozovic was never good enough for Inter in my book. He shined for 2-3 games and thats all. I appreciate that he is energetic player and with very good shot, but thats all. But I am also not sure about our midfield now. Banega, Kondogbia and Witsel (if he comes) are all but not dynamic players.
We really need some hard working midfielder like Kante or Matuidi.I think Kondo and Witsel are similar players..
The problem last season was that the attackers did not get enough ball to work with. Both Banega and Witsel are better playmakers than what we already got in the central midfield. If we can get a right winger I think we are in good shape to place top 3 in the league and go far in EL.
I agree, he had those few long distance gems but other than that he was just a fairly average inconsistent midfielder, I’d like to keep him but if the PL idiots want to offer 30m for him go for it
I don’t know how to feel about this if true. I think Brozo is better than him, but at the same timeMancio has no idea where to field Brozo, cuz he’s not a winger, nor a regista, but a CM and Mancio doesn’t know how to use CM’s or trequartistas for that matter. So I guess it’s ok-ish.

BROZOVIC WAS RANKED AS 1 OF INTER MILANS BEST ON FIELD PLAYERS LAST SEASON AND HE WAS VIEWED AS UNTOUCHABLE WITH PERISIC AND ICCARDI BECAUSE OF THERE ON FIELD VALUE BROZOVIC RATES VERY HIGHLY IN PERCENTAGE OF SUCCESSful PASSES, AND GOAl ASSISTS so I don’t think inter will sell a key member of its midfield engine
