According to French media, despite competition from PSG and Marseille, Inter would be in pole position for the Swiss full-back.
L’Equipe wrote this on Saturday: ‘Inter ready to pay more than Ricardo Rodriguez‘s buyout clause’ (5 million more than the 22 set by Wolfsburg). The Swiss full-back has attracted interest from several clubs, especially French ones. There was talk of PSG and then a small interest from Olympique Marseille (interest dictated by the need of a player in that role, and emphasized by Rudi Garcia‘s press conference). French media write that “despite the strong interest from PSG and Marseille, Inter would be in pole position for the Wolfsburg player, who may soon join the Nerazzurri.”

Switch with Rano!
Get this guy on this mercato please, we got tough matches ahead against rube roma and lazio. Ansaldi is too good for those team.
If we are willing to pay 5m more than release clause (can’t imagine that’s the case as would clearly be unnecessary – more likely to pay more to player or agent to secure deal) why not offer 5m for loan now with 22m mandatory redemption in summer? That solves the FFP issue provided 5m would fit under the cap.
Wolfsburg have stressed that they won’t accept any loan deals, only permanent transfers.
Freakin wolves, they made us suffer all summer before letting Perisic go
I know, they’re the German Lazio! Luckily Rodriguez has a release clause so there won’t have to be any actual negotiations over his price like with Perisic.
