Speaking to El Pais, Napoli’s Lorenzo Insigne spoke about his time trying out for various clubs and that those clubs later in his career wanted his services.
“I tried out with Torino and Inter, but nobody took me,” Insigne said. “All I heard were people saying that I was good but too little.”
“I lost the will to play, I wanted to quit, I told myself that it was useless to keep trying if I was going to be told that I was too small to play football.”
Inter continue to be interested in his services but will have to pay a lot in order to get him with reports suggesting that Napoli is said to be offering him a new deal worth €2.5 million, but could be doubled.
