Pioli: “We lost the battle but not the war”

Ahead of the usual press conference at Suning Training Centre, Stefano Pioli had this to say Inter Channel : “Was it a difficult week? It’s true it was a disappointment, but as we always have, we evaluated the positive and negative things, we have been working on the second. We have to turn the disappointment into determination and react. We have lost a battle but not the war. Cagliari have a big objective, to stop a great team. They have made 23 points out of a possible 31 at home. They have good qualities and will make the match hard and try to beat us. But we should not look at others, rather try to play better than them, evaluating our performance. In the past after a setback, we did well to fight back, we’ll have to do it again. I think we are winning games that matter, especially mentally and we didn’t surrender in the difficult times. Even the big teams can lose games, but then you have to get back on track.”
