Massimo Moratti answered a number of Inter related questions in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb:
After Monday’s defeat, are you less optimistic about UCL qualification?
“Unfortunately I have not seen the game, I was busy abroad for business reasons. In any case I think that newspapers been harsh on Pioli and the team. Before the defeat against Sampdoria the tone and evaluations were extremely positive, and since Monday night, everything changed.”
The rumours surrounding Pioli persist…
“We have to be honest: the situation that he found when he arrived was very complicated, it would be a miracle to reach third. My judgement of him is positive, he is doing well trying to carry on his work.”
How are you? Are you missing Inter?
“I’m very well. There’s always a lot of affection for Inter, this is obvious. I am following as a fan, with great passion.”
Can the Inter fans dream with Suning in charge?
“No doubt. Suning is the real deal. We’re talking about a group with enormous potential, although the task is not so simple because the road ahead is not without obstacles.”
Can Inter challenge Juventus next season?
“Absolutely, Their chance to succeed is there.”
Do you like Conte?
“Sure, I like him. That being said, I do not think it is appropriate to change the manager once again.”
