The FA-cup victory has brought confidence to Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger who in an interview with BeIn Sports confessed that both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Özil will remain at Arsenal, despite the fact that their respective contracts expires in 2018: “First of all, they will remain. Then I hope they will renew before their contracts expire. We can not weaken the squad, the idea is instead to reinforce it, or at least find players equal to what we have. When a player signs a contract there is a promise to give everything for the club they sign with, why shouldn’t that be the case for Sanchez and Özil?”.
