A rather fun statement from Ibrahima Mbaye today on Inter.it where he began with an amusing story from the final of last year’s NextGen Series:
“I was sent off in the final against Ajax and were sent the dressing room. Roberto Samaden told me to stay there, then he would come get me later. Time went by and after the penalties no one showed
up so I went out. As soon as I got on the pitch I saw that we had won and everyone celebrating. He forgot me!
“In Senegal I had posters of Didier Drogba and Patrick Vieira on my wall. Yet again, I don’t have a proper role model. I try to learn something from everyone instead.”
