Rogers: “Football is homophobic, we need more persons like Mancini”

The former Leeds players Robbie Rogers who declared his homosexuality the 13th of February 2013 was interviewed by the Gazzetta Dello Sport and had following things to say:

“That confession changed my whole life. According to my experience, the footballing world is homophobic. The things are changing slowly thanks to those who confess their sexuality. I followed the argument between Sarri and Mancini in the Coppa Italia, and the footballing world would need a lot more persons like Mancini.”

Rogers is currently playing in the MLS for L.A. Galaxy.
