Jeison Murillo spoke exclusively to La Stampa regarding his future, the teams chances of finishing third this season as well as the season so far
“Up until December everything went great and Handanovic made miracles. In January the other teams improved and we went through a dip in form. It would be ahuge disappointment if we miss out on playing Champions League football next season. As long as there is hope we have to fight. Whoever plays for Inter has to always aim high. My future? I don’t know we’ll see what happens. I am very happy here though. Mancini? He speaks to you when it is necessary to do so, he has his ideas and they are respectable. The goals we’ve conceded? Maybe it’s an issue of concentration, these are moments that pass. The partnership with Miranda is good, we complement each other very well.”
In conclusion Murillo was asked about if he has any role models on the pitch: “Thiago Silva, even though my friend Miranda has stolen his spot on the national team [laughs]. Difference between Higuain and Icardi? Gonzalo is the striker that has surprised me the most, he is very tactically intelligent and he always knows how to find space. Mauro is a great captain, very calm and collected.”
