On The late arrival of players from Copa America:
“The idea of our manager is to give the players proper rest which they deserve and to start the season together freshly, either in Appiano gentile or in USA. We will try to do the training programs so that they can be available early August.”
On the ongoing Icardi saga:
“I am not angry. The thing which happened yesterday was totally uncertain as far as the place and timing is concerned. Icardi has renewed one year ago and we have already tagged him as NOT FOR SALE”
On Joao Mario:
“He is a talented young and good player. But nothing more, we are yet to start any negotiations”
On Gabriel Jesus:
“He is a great player but there are many teams in the fray to sign him. Probably 7-10 teams are chasing him right now so the deal will not be an easy one. We are following him and we will see if we can put offer a good deal”
On Berardi:
“We like to do our job in an official manner. Like other players we asked Sassuolo about the availability of Berardi and they said ‘No’ ”
On the possible arrival of Candreva:
“There has never been an official offer. He is a player we have always liked but considering the financial parameters right now, he is out of reach”
On Mancini:
“We both possess a desire to work together. As long as the company is fine, the relationship will move forward”
