Palmeiras President Paulo Nobre has given further updates on the future of Gabriel Jesus speaking to Brazilian outlet Sport: “Gabriel Jesus will ultimately play where he wants. As a fan I’d like to keep him here up to the World Cup 2018 and then sell him at double the current price. But as president I have to work in harmony with him. If I go against his will by perhaps rejecting a wonderful offer for him and good for us, you yourself would feel cheated in that scenario. I know he wants to stay at Palmeiras until the end of the year at least, but then he’s to decide which European club he will join. I could not sell him to a team, if he wishes to go to another. Of course, the proposal must also please Palmeiras.”
