Promoesport, the sports marketing firm who look after Felipe Melo, gave clarification to calciomercato.com, regarding the comments made by his agent yesterday:
“We would like to clarify that Felipe Melo is an Inter player, and he never received any offer from Valencia CF, a team that he respects deeply, the same level of respect that he feels towards their manager Cesare Prandelli. We also read that he had refused Valencia to prefer a minor tournament, that’s not true for two reasons: 1. He’s not thinking to leave Inter and 2. He does not like to belittle any championship of any country, because he believes that the level of competitiveness of a tournament is determined by how an athlete offers during the performance and in Felipe’s case it’s always the maximum.”
